My food post for the week is a little thin because we had a kitchenette at the resort, but the times we ate out were legitimately so good.

Taco Beach Shack – 334 Arizona St, Hollywood, Florida 33019

I will dream about these tacos for the rest of my life because they are the best tacos you could ever eat! We ate there on our first and last nights of the trip, and each ordered the same thing each time because we weren’t ready to forget it. The Taco Combos are the best value because you get three tacos with your choice of protein (I got guacamole, but the beef and Korean short rib with kimchi also came very highly recommended from my fam), a side of black beans, rice, and roasted street style corn on the cob (also.. right up there with the tacos for foods to dream about). The margaritas are strong, and the cheesecake burrito for dessert is amazing as well – split it with your favorites because it’s gigantic! The vibe is laid back, and the beach shack literally is a shack that holds a kitchen and a bar. All the seating, ping pong, live weekend bands, and everything else is outdoors either under the awnings or umbrellas.

Vizcaya Cafe – 3251 S Miami Ave, Miami, Florida 33129

I’ll be sharing a post about Miami’s Villa Vizcaya in a few days, but if you’re going definitely plan on grabbing lunch there as well. They have outdoor seating, and an indoor dining room that was part of the original villa. There is a gourmet lunch menu, and the cafe is run by a top Miami caterer. I got the Sweet & Savory Grilled Cheese (swiss, fresh spinach, grilled red onion, and fig jam on focaccia bread), and it was delicious!

The Cuban Press Food Truck – Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

We stumbled on the Cuban Press gourmet food truck at a festival hosted by one of Ft. Lauderdale’s universities, and decided to grab lunch. Food trucks are always some of my favorites, because they are undiscovered little gems. The owner was super nice and he said their food was “authentic Cuban via New jersey.” 🙂 I got the Cuban Style Reuben and it was massive and so tasty.
