On the Shoulders of Giants

If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” – Sir Isaac Newton

I was reminded of that thought this morning as I cast my vote for the first female president of the United States; I stand on the shoulders of those giants who rallied and persevered from Seneca Falls in 1848 all the way to now so that tonight, with any luck, we watch the glass ceiling as it shatters.

“The history of the past is but one long struggle upward to equality.” – Elizabeth Cady Stanton

When your kids and grandkids ask what you did in 2016, when everything was on the line, I want you to be able to say that you did vote, you voted for an inclusive, big-hearted, open-minded country, future, that will make sure that we all keep moving together because I do believe we are stronger together.” – Hillary Clinton
